But if you wish to tow your trailer in tough off road conditions like sand trails, muddy terrains and through snow, then undoubtedly you should tow with a 4WD truck. Otherwise you will be stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I don't have any chains anyway because I've never needed them with the Dodge. OTOH, I would never intentionally head into snow with a trailer in tow.
