If you plan to do cams or headwork or anything internal you would be better off with a Screamin Eagle … I actually had a Thundermax on my 2008 Ultra. The only thing I am looking at is that the FP3 with auto tuner via bluetooth and app seemingly does the same thing overall as the Thundermax. But I could be very wrong about this. The Thundermax sensors sniff the exhaust gases and work out what adjustments need to be made to fuel flow to hit the AFR targets. Where the Thundermax is very different is that the offsets are stored in the ECU module and used "live".

I can't put a description on it EFI 96's sound different then the 88's and older bikes, but it did sound different. I put my first 100 miles on without exceeding 3500 RPM's.
