Please consider creating a new thread. Webb24 dec. 2008 · Cold oil and high oil pressure could spell trouble with the combination of that filter and your blocked bypass. Not true. 51061 does NOT have a bypass valve...see HERE. You will be fine, just let it warm up before taking off. Use some common sense. You can see it being done with the 51061 by Carl/CNC Blocks, very reputable machine shop.
Webb10 sep. 2009 · Now I change my oil, 10W30, and filter, Wix, every 5000k, and am not concerned with no lubrication getting to the engine, due to a plugged filter etc. The jeep six cylinder engine does not have a bypass valve built into the filter housing, unlike the small block Chevy. The bypass is built into the filter on the regular filter.
