If the bearing was worn enough to cause a scrapping noise when turning it would be making a very loud noise when driving at high speeds. WebIt happens randomly when accelerating, decelerating, and when just letting it roll with no gas. It wasn't making this noise and started after about 300 miles of driving after the strut change. It also stops making the loud squeak when I get above about 30. I can still hear a slight whooshing sound when I drive and it gets faster at higher speed.
