I have a new Mellings #10552 Select pump to install. I believe it comes with the pink spring. I am thinking of putting a heavier spring in there to increase the pressure slightly. In my last 2 SBC motors I used the Mellings M55 pump with the Z28 white spring or the Mr. Gasket spring.

The covers usually show some wear since an internal thrust force makes the steel gears rub on the cover. I don't do enough wet sumps to remember the PN off of the top of my head. But it had the drive shaft that goes through the gear and into the base plate.
