You will be asked to contact Burton McCall Ltd and they are completely uninterested in any problems. After being happy with many cheaper Maglites over the years, I purchased a LED pro version which is not cheap! WebMaglite's new (relatively) warranty policy. Four years ago I had alkaline batteries swell in a maglite, I couldn't even force the cap off. I sent the flashlight in with an identification on the brand of batteries and maglite sent me back a new flashlight. Now maglite will not play middle man between the battery company and you.
