I was in my base and my base has a lot of slime chunks in em cause my base is underground so I used stone brick slabs to prevent them from spawning but they still spawn on the slabs even thought for an example if you cover a swamp biome with slabs no slimes spawned but in a slime chunk they spawn even though it's a slab.
